Under the Weather

Connor and I have both been sick the past couple of days. It seems the stomach bug felt a need to visit our house. Details are unnecessary, so I'll spare you, but suffice it to say I'm glad we're feeling better. I felt a bit like the little girl looks in this picture!

Happy Halloween everybody! :)

Just Another Saturday

Today was just another Saturday...Connor played baseball and I got to enjoy watching. I love watching him play the sport he loves so much! We lost, but that didn't matter. My only regret was that Katelyn was too far away to get to watch him, too!

I got to get together with my dear friend Mindy tonight. We don't get to do that near enough. We watched the Texas game and got caught up on all the stories of her engagement, new school, wedding plans, etc. She's so happy...and I'm happy for her. I can only hope I will be able to experience that same happiness in my future. But if not, it's okay. I'm content with my life just as it is...just me and the kids.

Gig'em

This weekend Connor and I went down to A&M with my friend Jana and her boys. We had a great time, even though the Aggies must be having the worst season EVER! Connor and I had a great time at the game, and it was so good to see Katelyn. I'm so very proud of her and all she has accomplished. She is very happy in College Station, and I couldn't be happier for her.

Okay, I'll give this a try

I'm joining the blogging world. Several of my friends are doing it, so I thought I might give it a try. I don't know how well I'll do, but we'll see! This will be my attempt to allow friends and family to keep up with the happenings in the Schofield house. I hope my kids aren't humiliated!

I'm sick right now with laryngitis...quite difficult for a teacher and a person who LOVES to talk like I do. I'm sure the time to be quiet will be good for me. I'm just trying to get plenty of rest and get better so that I can get back to work.

More later.....
